Description
Dunno what came over me but was thinking of drawing this one for a long time...Finally got time to make this...
So this is Shiva... the Hindu God of Destruction...
Abode: Mount Kailāsa
Mantra: Aum Namah Sivaya
Weapon: Trident (Trishul)
Consort: Parvati
Children: Ganesha and Kartikeya
Mount: Nandi (bull)
Shiva is one of the six primary forms of the Divine in Smartism, a denomination of Hinduism that puts particular emphasis on six deities, the other five being Vishnu, Shakti, Ganesha, Kartikeya and Surya. Another way of thinking about the divinities in Hinduism identifies Brahma, Vishnu, and Shiva as each representing one of the three primary aspects of the divine in Hinduism, known collectively as the Trimurti. In the Trimurti system, Brahma is the creator, Vishnu is the maintainer or preserver, and Shiva is the destroyer or transformer
Shiva is most notable for his 'third eye', which is usually closed, used for destroying things.

well actually he was the one who propounded or founded more than 1000 paths and types of yoga to attain enlightment including the tantra path.according to modern science at the centre of our forehead there is pineal gland which said to be third eye when eye of wisdom in yoga once it get activated also known as last seventh chakra of body known as third eye chakra. once it get activated u achieve enlightment and form of bliss urself. thats why in india people wear red dots at the centre of the forehead both male and female known as tilaks. which represent the very same thing third eye the only reason shiva third eye is also physically seen bcoz it is also a weapon it has a ability to produce ashes which cannot be extinguished until the target get fully destroyed and become complete ashes or cancel by the wielder itself and human can also achieve its power and 1 in the history who did that siddharth gautam(buddha) during his last days he want to cross river ganga but the flow and tides is so powerful that it will lead to a danger not possible withour boat so when buddhas followers preparing boat for him to cross just in front of his thousands followers with the help of his third eye he teleported himself from one bank of a river to another but this also take lot of toll in his humanbody which also make him weak physically bcoz he tried to use third eye powers physically which human body cannot able to take that much spiritual aura. in the end gautan buddha released his body and passes away. therefor 1 name of shiva among his followers is (adiyogi) or adinath(eternal lord) in sanskrit which means eternal sage or eternal teacher master of all science and arts in japanese rikkodou senin(sage of six paths) the 7 divine sages in hinduisim, buddhisim and jainisim and sikhiskm he is master of all of them and has all knowledge thats why even his role as a destroyer or tranformes of ages, cycles he still a eternal hermit, sage ascetic etc.
