Personality:
Valdus has a dark side that developed when he lived in Dark Clan. It is very violent and cruel. The dark side is often triggered by bad things he'd done as a foal and teenager. Val has been attempting to control the dark side. When he is in a normal state, Valdus is a kind stallion. He tries his best to treat others well but he is still somewhat rude. He is also easily attracted by mares but loves only his mate more than anyone.

Valdus was born in dark clan. His parents weren't very loving and wished only for him to be a guardian. They felt he should be better than those around him to prove his parents were good and powerful. He hated that about them. He didn't like being used as a tool. Later on he found out that his sire wasn't actually his. Valdus' mother had cheated on her mate to be with a unicorn. She never told her mate but Valdus was told and later his sister. When he was five his mother became pregnant once more. A lovely little filly who showed great promise. They always loved his sister, Ignis, more than him.

[Teenage]
When Valdus grew old enough he had proved his defiance. He would torture and kill innocent creatures for fun. He often times picked on his sister. Sometimes Val would randomly stab his mother in the stomach. He was no longer going to be a slave to his parents ways. Val left his family for the Light Clan. He believed he could get by doing what he wanted to do rather than what he was forced to do. He also wanted to find his real father. Valdus felt no sorrow in leaving because he hated every bit of his family. He ended up travelling deeper into the light side to get as far from his family as possible. He was very lonely in those times.

[Adulthood]
When he became an adult Valdus tried out to be a soldier. He wanted to prove to all the light horses that he could be great. And that he wasn't bad like the other darklings. He has attempted to win over most of the Light Clan and he really looks up to Atland. Valdus, however, still had his darkside. Although, it had been wiped away with time in the light clan certain things can still trigger it.
He had met a young mare, Victoria, who was the daughter of Atland. The two hit it off and were soon considered mates. For lack of time with his mate Valdus would grow bored. He occasionally mounted mares he had just met. One in particular, Layla, fell pregnant from this. He later regretted his decision and Layla pushed out his dark side. Valdus raped her. After feeling so guilty about that he went back to Victoria. After she fell pregnant he told her the truth.
Sadly, the foal from Victoria was birthed prematurely. He hated that she blamed herself for the death and attempted to make her change her thinking. He didn't exactly go about it in the nicest way. Now, not only Ignis, but Victoria, who is carrying his newest foal, Urie, and Layla all hate him with a passion.
After Ignis left Sena to be with Urie Valdus went to check on the mare. He had gotten her pregnant in an attempt to be kind as well as get back at Ignis. They soon became mates and had a lovely filly named Kaliope. One day Sena made his dark side snap and he almost killed himself, hence the scars. Val now has a very ripped up jaw on the right side of his face. Occasionally when Valdus feels extra bad he will cut himself just above the knee with his horn.
After a while Valdus couldn't handle himself. He was still in love with Victoria. He ended up getting dumped by Sena and soon found Victoria again. He got to meet his other filly. He loves being with them so much.
Valdus' actions later came back to bite him in the butt. The stallion was called upon by his king, Atland. Atland had discovered that Valdus raped Layla and decided to punish him for it. He gave the soldier mercy, though. Instead of exiling him to Dark Clan instantly he branded him. It is an ancient mark that is almost never seen nowadays. The stallions agreed that if Val ever does anything to upset his family the mark will turn red and he shall be banished. Lucky for Valdus he was already attempting to fix his ways. He is doing his best to be a good mate and father.
After hanging out with Steam and Storm, Val decided to get some tattoos. He got wings over his face because of Victoria. He also got Erza and Kalli's names tattooed along his spine on the left side and Alexandria and Coda's name on the right side. Valdus cut four scars into the skin above his knee. Although they had no purpose initially he decided each could be for someone he hurt. One for Ignis, one for Sena, one for his dead best friend, and one for both the mares he raped.
Valdus has also been a big help for Atland in the current plot after Rotten died. After those events his marking turned orange. Valdus didn't actually realized the severity of bringing his nephew for a visit.
Valdus and Victoria had been living together for a long time. Sadly he didn't realize how much she had changed. In the same day he asked the mare to marry him he left her. She had proven her true cruelty. He now lives alone with Erzallie.
