"You know, babe," she said, her voice lilting, "as much as I loved exploring the jungles of Forest with you, I've missed the city - SO much!. There's just something about the energy here that I can't resist."

Angela laughed, her eyes dancing with mirth. "Oh, I don't know, honey. Those indigens we met were incredibly fascinating people, and let's not forget the remarkable creatures we catalogued. The giant luminescent flowers and those singing vines? They were simply breathtaking."

Lori shuddered exaggeratedly. "Yeah, but those xeno-spiders? Ewww! I'd take the Spider Canopy," she gestured to the high-tech transportation network above them, "over them any day."

Angela, the botanist, feigned offense, her lips curving into a playful smirk. "Well, those spiders had a certain charm to them. I mean, their intricate webs were quite the marvel of nature. But I suppose I understand your affinity for the city's charms."

Lori grinned, leaning her head against Angela's shoulder. "Don't get me wrong, babe. I loved our time on Forest, but I think I'm ready for a little break from all the adventure. You know, enjoy the city for a while."

Angela sighed, her tone light and teasing. "Oh, I see how it is. You're just after those scrumptious cakes at that little bakery you love, aren't you?"
