Couldn't they just also...advertise some of the toys of the shows that they've been doing? I mean, even if it was by a different company, doesn't the show get some profit because they're the ones that are going 'watch this show, now buy the toys'?

You're right in that part they should advertise about other toys of the shows but this is what pass as i see it right now a company with low publicity and who only have a few years and few shows make a contract with Mattel for make the specials of Monster high what up the sales of dolls what is more money for Mattel more money for Nerd Corp who can make the special or/and the movie of BF5 and then with that more sales of Hot Wheels what means a lot more money for Mattel who now make more contracts as i see it this is not bad and not is a substitution is just a way stay on the market

If you look on TV now, you still see Hot Wheel toys, but if you're looking for BF5 related items, they're mainly online or on iTunes depending on what you're looking for.
