An illustration of German actor Jürgen Prochnow for my final major project for college. I’m designing a HD-DVD case artwork, cd face design and booklet for an 'ultimate edition' of Das Boot. This illustration will likely feature on the front of the case Artwork.This was roughly 2 days of work, 1 for planning, lineart etc and the 2nd day was when I really got into it. Was a learning experience as always, the beard was a problem and took me a while to work out how I could do it and make it look good. Another nice new detail I tried was giving the look that Jürgen is hot/sweaty in appearance. I think I got it.

I think it looks really, really nice, but the black lines kind of make it look like you wasted all that detail work... but that's just me.

well it looks very good.. you got the colouring down pretty well..and that red light that is shinning on him looks nice too.
you obviously made him look a lot younger but i guess that's not important xD
my only critique are the eyes.. there is something about them that makes them look a tad out of place..maybe its their size.. or something.. but i can't really put my finger on it..
but it does look great!
