Description

This is one of the main characters from a fantasy story I’ve been designing with a friend of mine. It’s been strange and exciting to create new cultures and races. Though that itself presents some interesting difficulties, art-wise. (But I have never claimed to be anything other than a complete hack.)
So this is Ion, who comes from a country called Basarabija, whose citizens are of a cat-like race. He himself is halfblooded; full-blooded Basarabijans have far more feline features and are completely covered in thick fur. There’s a great caste divide based on blood purity within Basarabijan culture, with mixed bloods being seen as somewhat deformed and ugly for their human attributes.
