Hello! Here is a new semi-open species that I created called box pups!

About the Box Pups:
Box pups are a unique breed of dog that are born from mailboxes. No one really knows how the mailboxes started producing box puppies, but there is a lot of lore surrounding it. The box pups can have all kinds of personalities and live in all kinds of places. Most box pups prefer to live around post offices, factories, delivery trucks, and other places where they can find their main sources of food- packaging peanuts, bubble wrap, and shredded mail. And, although most box pups roam free, they are usually harmless to humans and can be kept as pets if a human befriends one. They are a docile species, but can become aggressive if their food stashes are threatened.

Rules For Creating A Box Pup:
1. All common traits are free and can be used by anyone!
2. Everyone gets to use one free uncommon trait, but after that, all uncommon/rare traits cost points
3. Always credit me when you post art of your box pups
4. You cannot make box pup adoptables for free or for profit, although you may trade your box pups with others for non-profit purposes
5. Do not steal other people's box pups!

Box Pup Essentials:
1. Every box pup has a large nose (dark gray, black, natural pink, or brown only), three toes, and small, solid-colored eyes
2. Every box pup has a "shipping label" on their box that acts as a name tag
3. Every box pup's shoulders, back, and hips are made up of their box and every box should have openings for the pup's legs, neck, and tail
4. All boxes are square or rectangle, not counting any cardboard-cutout accessories
5. Every box pup is based on a certain breed of dog, although they have slightly rounded proportions in general

Trait Guide:
common traits = free!
uncommon traits = the first one is free, thereafter, they cost 5
rare traits = 10

Breeds:
purebred = common
mutt (mix of 2 breeds) = uncommon
mutt (mix of 3 breeds) = rare

Noses:
round = common
semi-round = uncommon
realistic = rare

Eyes:
natural colors = common
unnatural colors or naturally-colored multicolored eyes = uncommon
unnaturally-colored multicolored eyes = rare

Pup Colors and Other:
natural breed colors, solid-color collars = common
unnatural breed colors, fancy collars, leg bands = uncommon
unnatural patterns and prints, anything that isn't a collar or a leg band, etc. = rare

Box Shape:
square or rectangle = common
cardboard cutout accessories= uncommon
accessories that aren't made of cardboard = rare

brown box, masking or clear tape = common
unnaturally-colored box, silver duct tape, crayon drawings = uncommon
galaxy print, wrapping paper, colorful duct tape, paint drawings, etc. = rare
