I love the look of water and sand you created; the textures really add a sense of fluidity. The black spiral shape has wonderful dimension and a very dramatic impact. The only thing that bothers me a little is the texture of the spheres. In my opinion, they should either be totally smooth and pearl-like or have a very fine texture.
Overall, this is amazing. The long, narrow format is perfect. It allows they eye to travel along the path created by the black. One usually associates blues/greens with water but you've really achieved a fabulous image with these more neutral tones.

Thanks for the critique, I appreciate that so much! I agree with you about the spheres, I think they are textured a bit too much. I am glad you noticed the watery feeling, it was what I wanted to achieve

=DothackersDaichi and I seem to disagree about everything except the colors. Does that leave you ?

Nope. I see both his and your points, especially about the texture. He mentioned the bold texture and you the texture of the spheres. Bot of you pointed out the same thing I always have problems with, the texturing. I never know when it's too much or too little texture. So, no, both your critiques were helpful, and it's fun to see the same fractal from two different angles.

Well... I can start by saying the i love the colour palette in this fractal. I always loved black/amber colours. Secondly, I can also say that i like the pearls or whatever they are supposed to be e.deviantart.net/emoticons/l/l… " width="19" height="19" alt="
" title="La la la la"/> They create an element of interest.
but if i have to look at the cons, I would point out that the fractal has a bad flow and it is textured too boldly. The textures takes the attention away from the black and doesn't seem to fit in... And i honestly think that is a shame. e.deviantart.net/emoticons/b/b… " width="15" height="15" alt="
" title="
(Big Grin)"/>
I hope the critique helped a little ...

Thanks I appreciate the critique, it helps a lot!
I agree about the texture, especially when you see the spheres, the texture layer disturbs them a bit.

So compelling it had to be favoured. I became fascinated by the 'fractal dust' of pearls in diminishing sizes. Fractal dusts don't seem to figure prominently in most of the work I see.

A lovely piece... Truly reminiscent of a shallow tidal pool full of tiny organisms flitting about in the dwindling waters...

I agree with =daigian especially now that =DothackersDaichi and I have given such conflicting critiques; the only thing we agree on is the wonderful colors... make that colours.
