Briefly explain life story: Drake was a normal guy until he became a demon, and even then he's pretty normal other than that, and his eccentric behavior. Basically Keigler was involved in a school shooting, and while he was dying after being shot in the chest, B'jorn the messenger demon showed up and gave him the option of wearing a special spelltag that would prolong his life for half an hour so that he could warn the rest of the school. But if he wasn't able to take it off in time (which he wasn't) it would turn him into a demon due to the nature of the demonic magic in the tag. Although he was successful at saving a whole bunch of people, it wasn't really favorable at all since the demon government...thing (Gisharno, an unofficial term for it)...considers him their jurisdiction now. Alternately, if he hadn't taken it off he would have died, so it was double-edge sword. This was ordered by Edgar, one of the higher-ups, who did it because he likes to troll people (No really, I haven't gotten to his profile yet, I'll explain his motives there.) XD And yes, this was copypasta from a reply to a comment. BD
Relationships
Parents: Manuel and Marilyn Keigler. Manuel is a devout Christian retired math teacher who had a very good relationship with his son until Drake became a demon. Instead of hiding it or pretending to be dead, and wanting to keep his relationship with his family, Drake inadvertently caused his father to reject him. However, Manuel still sends Drake gifts because he DOES love his son - just doesn't want to be around him. He will not admit to this, however.
Marilyn is a retired lawyer who wasn't around for Drake as much as she would have liked to have been when he was a child. She's still a loving mother regardless of the situation, and invites Drake to her house on his birthday and other special occasions. She and her husband are separated due to a conflict regarding whether or not Drake should be allowed to visit.
Siblings: Candace - His sister, who is 4 years younger than him. She has her own place, and loves her annoying brother even though he eats all of her food. He also possibly has a brother named Matt, a character created by a friend. XD
