Well, I guess, the title pretty much says it all.Seeing what horrible opponents (and allies!) Batman has to face every day, it's really no surprise he lost his jolly smile along the way.
This time I drew the outlines and then scanned them. Thanks to my scanner, they got a little crappy. Maybe I'll try something new next time.
I already have a few ideas for other pictures and/or strips. Mainly a (sort of?) continuation for this one, called "A day off", and something named "Falling ill at the watchtower". I'm not sure which one to draw to first. Or if I'll draw them at all. We'll see.

Really? I thought it was a combination of his parents dying in front of him as a kid and being a single parent to a hyperactive acrobat, anti-hero with a gun and bomb infatuation, smart-ass genius, and trained child assassin. Though, compared to what the League seems to put him through, that DOES seem mild.

THIS. THIS! This is awesome and perfect and hilarious in all ways! I love it! You've done a fantastic job of reasoning behind WHY Batman never smiles in modern comic-pop culture as opposed to the campy Batman of the 50s. After all, the time difference between society then and now IS very different, and DC's been a bit more ruthless about picking on Bats as the years have gone by. I LOVE this comic. Also, your chibis are fantastic, and I adore this!
