Description

Maple is a miniboss found in the deep jungles of Gigan Turas island.

She’s a giant spider who makes her home in the deep jungles of Gigan Turas Island. While she may seem sweet and motherly on the outside, it’s actually to lull her prey into a false sense of security so that it’s easier to gobble them up!
Trii and Aardy accidentally fall into Maple’s web while on the hunt for the missing fluerlies. Trii isn’t fazed in the slightest by the giant spider’s soothing words and lullabies, but Aardy, unfortunately, is. She almost goes in for the kill until Trii notices what’s happening and breaks free from the web using his sword transformation. Now, Maple put a tremendous amount of work into that web of hers, and hearing one thread snap put her into a fit of rage! She holds off on eating Aardy to go after Trii to punish him for what he did.
As the sun sets on the islands, the deeper parts of the jungle become enveloped in more and more darkness, and Maple uses that to her advantage. She can climb up the walls surrounding her web to stay out of reach of close range attacks. She’ll fire off neon-pink web shots either in rapid-fire succession, or firing off one shot that separates into multiple simultaneously. If one of them hits Trii, it wraps him up and drains his energy, so breaking free as quickly as possible is the best option! She can also sing to summon smaller spiders to attack Trii as well. They’ll always chase Trii no matter what, so he should take them out quickly. Once they’re defeated, they’ll stay on the ground. Before Maple shoots her web, the markings on her body become bioluminescant, giving the impression of a scary face. Why is this important? Because it gives her exact location, and Trii can use those smaller spiders as ammunition for his Catapult form to launch straight at her! Three shots are enough to put her in a daze and bring her down to your level. Use that time to give her a good whallop! When she lands, however, the web will break apart even further, so watch your footing! Doing this method a few times will ensure victory. Once she’s back up, though, she’ll get even more furious and speed up her attacks. Even the web shot that splits apart might have segments that split apart as well, so be careful!
