I was wondering how you did the dark part on the top of the picture - or is that photoshop?

It's 'photoshopped' in so far as I rendered the image in monochrome & increased the contrast - no more than I would have done in the darkroom a few years back, using high-grain print paper - Ilford HP4 or HP5 would've been the equivalent, back in the day.
