Description
Another example of the Icelandic landscape messing with your sense of size & scale - this is the huge Seljalandsfoss waterfall viewed from the cave behind its 200 ft descent. As you can see, it's big - but look for the figures right of centre to really appreciate the size of this beautiful thundering giantRelated content

This is so good - great waterfall and such a clever angle.

if you think that's big you should see the ones further up river!

Oh yes, I realise that - will be on it next year, when I plan to return for a month. Looking to check-out Glymur, which is three times higher I believe, and Morsi - 240 metres!?! That's a bit of a cheat, since it's a glacier-melt flow - but I'm not going to be too precious about that...

I don't know what they are called but if you drive to Skogafoss - climb the stairs to the top of the falls and then follow the river up the mountain then you will see many, many waterfalls. I lost count after 12!
