*EW, GOD, NO, AVERT YOUR EYES FROM THIS ARCHAIC EXISTENCE!!*

The sun began to rise over Snakerocks. Two bodies lie in the middle of the clearing, their fur soaked with their own blood. One of the cat's ginger and white flanks heaved faintly, while the other cat, a black and white tom, was breathing even more shallowly. Half of the ginger and white cat's face had been ripped off and was left a bloody mess. Her other eye opened faintly, glazed with pain. Her heart began to beat with fear as she remembered the scene that had just played out moments ago. Images of teeth and blood flashed through her mind, and the spotted pelt of another cat amidst the terror.
"...Swiftpaw?" The she-cat called her companion's name, in so much pain, her voice sounded like claws over stone.
Swiftpaw didn't reply.
"Swiftpaw?" The she-cat called again.
This time, the tom's ears twitched. He attempted to raise his head, but the pain made it almost impossible. He laid his head down again, moaning in agony.
"Swiftpaw!" The she-cat whispered in relief, unable to say anything else.
"Brightpaw," the tom muttered, "I..."
He trailed off as a trickle of blood dribbled from his muzzle.
"Pack. pack. Kill, kill," Brightheart muttered, remembering the horrible chant of the dogs.
Swiftpaw's breathing grew even shallower, "Brightpaw...listen...to me."
Brightpaw shifted her head so she was gazing at Swiftpaw.
"Make sure...make sure the clan knows...how brave you were," he whispered, in a barely audible mew.
"Swiftpaw..." Brightpaw's confused voice replied, "what are you talking about?"
Swiftpaw shifted his paws painfully, until they were close to Brightpaw's. Then, lifting one forepaw, he placed it against Brightpaw's.
"Make sure...they know," Swiftpaw sighed, letting his paw fall. His head rolled back and he was silent.
"Swiftpaw?" Brightpaw choked, "Swiftpaw, no..." A sob escaped her throat, before she gasped in response to the pain this caused. A dizzying blackness began to enfold the she-cat as she drifted from consciousness, Swiftpaw's last words echoing in her hears.

ALRIGHTY, THEN. So that was a little imaginary story from Swiftpaw's death. I think it would be cute if Swiftpaw showed his soft side before he died. And so, this was born. Don't judge my failed writing skills. I try.
I'm not really sure if I like this piece or not - the shading is fucked up, and I added all the blood and stuff last-minute. Originally, this was just going to be a cute picture of Swiftpaw. You all see how that went, haha. Meh, I'm not in the mood for much more writing so, critiques, questions, comments welcome.

I'm not really sure if I like this piece or not - the shading is fucked up, and I added all the blood and stuff last-minute. Originally, this was just going to be a cute picture of Swiftpaw. You all see how that went, haha. Meh, I'm not in the mood for much more writing so, critiques, questions, comments welcome.
