A thing that I finished before I left for Italy but neglected to upload, whoops....Wanted to do a kinda complex piece in terms of shading and highlights and stuff, and I'm proud of how this turned out! Not happy with the magic, but everything else I like and had fun doing~

The overall details look really good!
But one thing I've noticed is you used gray to shade. If you really want to make the colors interesting, try using some other, more vibrant colors to shade. Purple is a good starter :3 Very light yellow is good for doing the lighting effects as well.

I actually tried that first and it made Shining look... pink? And Cadance too saturated? Hence the practice, haha

I can see where you're coming from XD I just use a very dark purple with the setting on either 'Multiply' or 'Shade' to make it less saturated
