Description I began thinking to myself, how cool would it be to be able to make multiple searches on the same page instead of having 5 windows open? Yeah you could use tabs if you were in firefox, but you'd have to type it in 5 times and go to each tab to see the results.

So I thought it'd be useful to be able to search multiple things all on one line (with '*' seperating each term). This could be useful if you just wanted to search multiple, different things, or you could try 4 or 5 different searches that are similar, seeing which have the best results. And on the results page, on each tab, you see the top result to see what you get, clicking on each tab to immediately see what each search reveals. At least I think it'd be cool.

Design didn't take me long, probably 4, 5 hours tops. It's nothing creative style-wise, just thought it'd be awesome to have as a real site.

I love the idea of tabbed searching--I'd never have thought of it, but it's brilliant. I can see Google adopting it.

I know that it was a "for fun" design, but I don't love the tiny content vs. the huge page...especially on the front page. But the idea itself needs to be implemented somewhere!

Why is the image so wide? I don't understand how that's part of the design.

Yeah but in firefox you can't make multiple searches at one time, you have to open multiple tabs first and then search

Haha, yeah, it does seem that way. And now that I've viewed it on a computer at 1024x768 I see that the middle white area is much too tall, not making much of a good explorer. I guess that's the problem with working at 1920x1200 :\

Very interesting idea.
I don't necessarily agree with having 'google who?' as a slogan though, as google is famous in multiple ways. One being a simplistic & easy loading design, whereas yours is more technical.

I don't mean much by saying that, as you've definately got a great idea here.

Yeah, I use Google a lot. This was a "fun" project for me, not that I'm going to go ahead and attempt to root out google from the internet

Thanks for the

The font is called 'Elegance', or at least that's what it's called on my PC. I don't know where I got it, maybe with a program I installed. I searched Google for it but couldn't find it. If you want it just send me a note and I can email you the font file directly.
