You did choose a difficult pose but you have pulled it off very well.
Sigh....
You know drawing like these are difficult for me to comment on. Why, you ask? Well, it looks like you are starting to develop your own stylistic techniques (which is to be applauded and I am proud to think I may have played a small role in) and, as such, I find myself in the position of trying to decide which technique to critique - the stylistic ponts or the realistic points.
Sigh....
Well, until I see more of the direction you are heading, I will just make some general comments on this drawing.
First of all, the shading is very well done; giving depth, energy and warmth to her face. The lips are very nice. These are unlike any you have done before and they look great (even if her mouth appears a little small).
This is wonderful. Has a Picasso feel to it. Keep it up.

Thank you! I hadnt thought much on developing a style as such,but I notice now when I draw there are some techniques I keep coming back to regarding shading etc.The overemphasis on the eyes seems to be another thing.I have been trying to tone it down a little, but it seems to be the eyes that attract the most compliments about a piece! If I have developed any kind of stylistic traits then I assure you that your tuition has made ALL the difference.I doubt I would even have the confidence to continue posting if not for your help,and certainly wouldnt have felt brave enough to explore different techniques. The critique you give on the realistic aspect of my pictures is always very helpful I have learnt so much about proportion and definition from your guidelines.

np, Im too stubborn to quit now! Besides, if I didnt keep drawing I wouldnt get to keep learning from all my crits,and Ive learnt a LOT. Also, If I didnt draw I would be miserable and cranky!
