Description When I lived in Virginia, I read a book by John Gardner called Grendel. Basically, it's the story of Beowulf from the perspective of Grendel, the rampaging monster. It plays on the human element of Grendel that's not emphasized in the orginal story, and, without sounding like an emo kid, I identified with that character, and still do. So I often draw female sort-of-Grendels as representations of myself.
I highly recommend that book, if you haven't read it.

This was done with a Pilot Precise rollerball pen. And my hand REALLY hurts.
