Yes, yes, yes ... you can all yell at me later for making an arabian with feathering. I actually kinda like it. And is it just me, or does it look a lot like a clydesdale?Anywho this is my first attempt to do wings. How did I do? Wait don't answer that.
And now that it's 1:30 in the morning I think I'm going to sleep now. (approx. total time = 5hr)
NOT FOR USE ANYWHERE!
The people I borrowed the pics from were nice enough to let me use them. I don't want to ruin that trust.

that's a real nice first attempt at wings!
the color matches the horse's SO DARN perfectly it's almost unbelieavable! no kidding!
i just think the wings could be a tad longer, they look a little unbalanced with the body size, but the blending is just perfect! i don't know if the the horse was originally dappled (can you link to the actual stock pic, so we don't have to browse the stocker gallery?), but it creates a real fun effect with the feathers.
the horse's feathered hocks look pretty good as well, and this time without help from the original stock, right? they're nicely shaded and contrasted, and the flow looks alright.
the mane and tail are very well done! i just think they could use a little more shadow (specially in the undersides, where light doesn't reach), since they're supposed to be black.
finally, the shadow is SPOT ON with the background and foreground! 
a real success, i'd say!
