More work for my short comic ; been a while since I've spammed you with these. Fortunately, these are final or close to final. I say. They probably are. All the dinos will be subject to individual variation; I just used a single template for each species for ease of designing. Please note these are also fantasy theropods, although heavily based on actual species: Dakotaraptor, Timurlengia and Allosaurus.
In the front row, you have the main dinos, in the back row you have background characters. Decided to have at least two of each species so that the dinosaur-impaired would have more ease telling them apart; the raptors also got feathered feet for this reason. The Allos were pretty tough to pin down--my rules were no blending and markings that are easy to redraw. Feathers look natural with big swaths of a single colour and hard edges; on scales/skin it easily looks fake. They went through some 35-40 concepts before I finally settled on this, and I'm happy with this look for them.
