does art have a definition?Thats like asking "what is a personality?"
You can try to explain what it is, in theory, but in actuality, who really sees deep enough to see the full spectrum of even a single person's personality to know for sure what it is?

This question kept bugging me, and I've wasted a lot of time during school today to find a proper answer. I know I've tried to find a definition, but I found out it doesn't need one. Trying to solve the question what art is is like asking "What is personality?". You can try to explain what it is - in theory - but is there anyone who really sees deep enough to see the full spectrum of even a single person's personality to know what it really is? A personality consists of so many and so different things. Personality is maybe the most interesting thing you can find on our planet, and so is art. Art can be anything: an expression (Expressionism) or the complete opposite (Dadaism). It can be funny (Comics) or majestic (Sculpturing). It can be everlasting (Monuments) or mortal (Art made of food). For every adjective there is a form of art. And the same counts for personality. There are so many levels that the closer you get to the core, the more open questions remain.
That said, I love your picture. This is a wonderful fractal which I personally like the best from all the fractals spread over deviantArt, because it has a real subject and is not all that random. +Fave +Watch my friend

well, it starts out using apophysis.. just gotta know how to tweak her to your liking =] after that, some after-touch in CS3
