Description
This was a commissioned piece from pinup model Lori Benson - I was pretty chuffed to be picked to do a painting as many famous pinup artists have done paintings of her.Enjoy...

My jaw has dropped on so many pieces of your masterpieces. I noticed in your description that you said it was pained. Yet there is rendering of a 3D program as a starting point "base" I assume, as in your response to a commenter on here. I paint my little projects from scratch and all by hand. Yes they are digital paintings but still done as close to traditional as possible. Not every time mind you...lol. but as much as I possibly can. I was really interested in how you achieve realistic skin tones. I've been asked how I do it myself on mine and I tell them simply patience and 45 to 50 hours of work...lol. Now I'm asking you the master...what's the secret to astonishing skin textures? The end results in your works are absolutely stunning. And, I am a fan for life.

i assume you're using poser, in which case IBL would be image base lighting.

I only poser for the base mesh - which is modified. I don't render in poser. And now for the most part my images are completely redone in photoshop.

No, the hair was painted. The entire body was redone in photoshop - you can't get skin tones this realistic in 3d alone - at least I can't. I design in 3D but finish off the renders in photoshop.
