It has a unique style all its own.......it almost looks like stained glass!

It's hard to say why I like this, but I think it's from the contradictions. You have pretty strong geometric shapes juxtaposed with the chaotic curvy drip action. Furthermore, the clarity and definition of the lines is offset by the airbrush quality of the background.
So on one hand you have geometry offset by organic curves and in the other hand you have clean definable lines offset by a scratchy and worn paint finish. Nice!

It looks really impressive, the bright white swirls and rectangles against a darker, textured background. What is a collagraph, though? For that matter, what is a Clex box - or is that just the title of this piece?

Only 11 comments... and this has been up since last year? That is unacceptable, because this piece is gorgeous! I love the lightness of the color palette; it's subtle, but creates a really nice visual impact. The lines are very clear and crisp, which adds a lot to the image... If I knew more about printmaking, I could probably give a better comment, but I do know that I think this is really gorgeous!

It makes me think of an old pirate map (owing mainly to the x's i think, haha). I'm guessing that wasn't the intended effect, but it has that rustic, antiquated quality that's absolutely gorgeous. love it.

Wow... For a DD, this has like, no comments! That's surprising.
I really like the composition of it, and the subtle colors. The white outlines are nice, too. My favorite is the 'x''s at the corners..

I see, though your picture is far more ambiguous than some of the examples provided. Surely it must be a bird or something resembling that, but I still feel unsure because of the lack of words (I am a writer, you see).
