Angela was quite aware of how GOOD the mares were in this event. They were crazy good. Many had much experience showing, and Lady, though now middle aged, didn't have as much. Despite that Lady was still in her prime and Angela knew she had a great show jumper. Though it is what she KNEW she had to show it as well. So she designed a show jumping course to show off how good lady was. It included ten obstacles, one of which was a double, one was a triple, a water jump and the heights ranged from two and a half feet to five feet. Lady has done jumps similar to these before so Angela was not worried about if she was able, she was just worried about her mare's level of concentration. Though Lady was skillful, if she was not able to control her excitable personality she could make a mistake, and even one mistake would cost them dearly. They had to be flawless in order to have any chance of winning.

The mare was tacked and backed, sporting new show jumping gear that matched the ones CSS used in cross country. After adjusting her helmet Angela licked her thumb and removed the smudges from the small breast plate that held Colliding Star Stables insignia, a four pointed star. She looked the mare over for one last time; her coat was shining, her eyes were alert and her tail swished happily from side to side, anxious for her rider to mount her so she could jump.

When it was their turn, Angela mounted Lady and as soon as Angela was settled in the saddle she took of at a trot, her ears directing her towards the sounds of the stadium. Angela pulled back on the reins, easing the mare into a halt.

"If you're going to act like that Lady we're not going to stand a chance." Angela said, waiting for the mare to calm down. She stroked her shoulder soothingly until her muscles were not as tense and her breathing returned to normal. Angela smiled down at her and kissed her silky neck. "Now let's show them what we're made of."
