Riki sheepishly shoved his head underneath Vivian's arm as to say 'Sorry I threw you into a ditch.' Both girls smiled at his pitiful, but cute expression.

"He reminds me so much of Warren, it's crazy." Angela said, rubbing Riki's side.
Vivian furrowed her brows and smirked at Angela, "Really?" She had never spent any significant amount of time with Riki's sire, but she always thought him to be a noble creature, and not anything like this dork of a stallion in front of her.

"Yeah, he really cares about you. You're his girl." she said, making Vivian smile. "Warren is the same way with me. He's very protective, like I'm part of his little family herd. He can be a butt face though, and he is especially terrible to Fred. But I do see a lot of Lady in him too. That little display I just saw had Lady's personality written all over it; well if Lady was a hot headed stallion that is!"

"I have to meet these two soon! It's a shame I don't know Riki's parents personally."

"Oh you will soon enough, trust me." Angela said. "But you will just have to deal with Warren's stubborn daughter for now! Why don't you clean up while I go tack Bella?"

"Sure! I'll meet you back here!" Vivian said as she watched CSS's owner jog back to the stables. Vivian then took Riki's head in her hands and said, "You better not pull that stunt again. Would you want to embarrass yourself in front of you big sister?" Riki responded by a curt snort, and Vivian kissed his velvety nose. "Now lets get cleaned up."

A little while later, the pair returned to the training field with Vivian in clean clothes and Riki in some lighter tack. They spotted Angela atop Bella, boasting some new cross country tack.

"Is that new tack?" Vivian said, pointing to the creamy mare. The tack was composed of CSS's colors, dark navy blue with golden trims. On her chest sat a silver circle that brandished a golden four pointed star.
"Yup! Designed it myself. Do you think it's too showy?" Angela asked, looking down at her mare.
"Not at all! It's perfect!" Vivian said, smiling.

As they warmed up around the training area, Bella's competitive side came out. The sweet mare turned into a demon, cutting into Riki's path and nipping at him, but all playfully of course. Riki just looked confused at the little mare, and really didn't know what to do. Angela tried her hardest to stop Bella, but she was stubborn as ever and refused to yield.

"I'm SO sorry Vivian, I can't control her when she's like this." Angela said, pulling back on the reins and smiling sheepishly.

"It's fine, I don't think he's scared, just confused," she said bringing Riki to a stop also. He looked sceptically at his half-sister, who was looking mischievously at him, tail swishing back and forth. "Do I get to see this beautiful girl jump?"

"Of course!" Angela said, gathering the reins. She circled Bella around and put herself in front of the first jump. She gave the command to canter and Bella took off like a rocket, flying over the first jump, and continued to do so for her entire run around the course. As Vivian sat on the sidelines with Riki she was impressed by the team, they worked so well together, despite the mare's stubbornness. She couldn't help but think back when she and Riki used to work like that, completely in sync with one another. She sighed to herself, wishing to go back in time.

Vivian was ripped from her thoughts when Bella cleared the last jump and cantered over to her. She could hear the mare's heavy breathing from a distance, and when they came to a halt Angela took off her helmet pushing back her sweaty bangs. "What did you think?"

"You guys were great! Really impressive!"

"Thanks! She had me a bit off balance because she was going so fast, that was probably the fastest we've ever gone. I thought only her brother could push her that hard, but I guess not." She said, a laugh escaping from her lips. "It's your turn, and it better be good!" she said jokingly, walking over to the side of the arena.

"Oh don't worry, we're ready! Right boy?" Vivian said, patting Riki's side. He responded by nickering and shifting over to the jumps, dying to fly over them. She brought him around to the first jump, whispering the whole time, "You got this, don't worry about a thing. We can do this."

She lined Riki up with the first jump and gave to cue to go. He leaped into action, cantering to the obstacle. As they neared the jump Vivian held her breath, not wanting to disappoint Angela. But needless to say she wasn't, for Riki tucked his legs in, and flew over the jump like he had wings.
