As for the flame, I see the "Waves" xform in full effect hehe. I like the colour, and it's definitely smooth. No grain and hardcore gamma - well done.

I would suggest two things. First it looks like the filter radius you used in your render settings might have been slightly high, which makes for a little too much blur. Try .3 or .4 on this same flame and see if it looks sharper (if you have time).

Other than that - it would be best to keep the PNG version on your own hard drive, but save a high quality JPG copy for submission. Reason being, this image of yours is 1.6mb in full-view.. so people with a slower net (or when DA is sucking) will not wait for it to load. If you have Photoshop, do a "Save As" and use JPEG, when the box comes up select 9 or 10 as the quality setting.. it'll look the same and be about.. 1/4 the size
