I've taken to shooting in 16:9 myself quite a lot lately. Let's face it, I'm more likely to look at it on a monitor than print it as a 6x4 these days.

True, I print very few photos, mostly only gifts. This photo was cropped and processed for effect. I used a Nikon D5000, an old camera by today's standards.

The lens is more important than the camera anyway (and the person is more important than either). Nothing wrong with a Nikon 5000. It's probably around the same level as the camera I usually use. I rarely process anything except a bit of sharpening - except in photos which are obviously processed to the point they hardly look like photos anymore. One thing about digital photography; we don't have albums of photos anymore. Everything's on hard drives, and very easily lost.
