Hey guys.
Sorry for the weird posting schedule. School’s finals are this week and I’ve been extremely busy. Not to mention also now sick. *sneezes all over you* blargh.
In other news, I’ve been thinking of starting up a vlog as of late.
I’ve never tried anything like that so I figured it’d be fun to test out.
I also plan to stream more games that I play. but I’ll let you guys know about that in the future.
As for questions, I was wondering. If you could go on vacation anywhere in the States, where would you go?

And it seems that house is not in the best location. I'm guessing it's directly dug into a mountain or hill. I used to do that when I first started minecraft but then Mobs could ambush me from the further up the hill or mountain in the early morning when I would try to go out. Now I build my houses with wood and cobble on top of a hill or plateau, usual on the coast that way mobs can only come from one direction which would be the front. I like to construct my house in levels. First a 3 block wooden wall on the ground. Then I use cobble stone for the second level building up and I like to use brick for what will eventually be the bed room for the third level up. I also like to make escape hatches with a ladder going down to the water..............just in case.

That house exists on my single player game. I only play multiplayer.
It's the only reason it's not super awesome. I only use them as background props for my comics anyway.

building into mountians is a newbie stratagy, as it allows you to use less building matierials, and to acces your mine directly from your house without digging up the floor.
because of those reasons I use that stratagy often even though I am a pro. and besides, it just looks cool in my opinion.
the trick is to build escape hatches, I am very good at doing this, adding a moat is a good idea as well, just make sure you have a bridge that is lit up across it, mobs aren't very good at using bridges. a lava moat would kill them, and they can't spawn on water.
it's a good idea to build it into on ocean cliffside, then you can escape to the ocean from you house.

It especially looks cool if you have the house jutting out with supports going to the ground and the like. Let's not forget the giant staircase, too.

depends on what you're going for, I tend to go for the "fallout vault" look.

Yep, I've done most of what you said and it has work pretty well so far. I haven't used lava much, only for lighting inside my house. I have been hesitant on something like a lava mount because chances are I'm going to accidentally fall in it or have some other accident eventually.

XD falling in lava is the worst thing that can happen to you in minecraft.
yeah, I've actualy built entire cities with this basic idea (too bad that multiplayer crashes, often wiping out a server in my case, I need more reliable servers.

lol, hilarious and so true!! I found its easy to have a fence around your doorway with a door, just to keep monsters out of the way when you try getting outside, the only thing that doesnt get effected by it is the spider
