Description
Not sure if they should blend in more to the dancers, or if they should remain distinct...so I'll tinger with this some more. Background is altered from a later 19th century painting. From Estelraca's perfect fic "To Follow" ([link] )
'The other dancers have beautiful dresses, and dance as gracefully as any man Enjolras has seen, but they have no faces.
Courfeyrac's hands cup his face, bring his eyes back to meet Courfeyrac's. "Don't look too closely, Enjolras. Don't pry too far. Even my memory of faces and people only lasts so long here, but I wanted to dance with you one more time."
"Hereβ¦" Shaking his head, he frowns as Courfeyrac takes his hands again. "Where are we, Courfeyrac?"
"I can't rightly say. Between, I suppose." Courfeyrac shrugs, though the smile on his face is sad. "You keep sliding back and forth, but there is no back for us. Not anymore. Only forward, into the unknown, but we don't want to leave until we're certain you're safe."'

Oh, my god... my heart, my poor heart *feelings*
Well, I'll say that I love how you draw les Amis, specially Enjolras. Your Enjolras is beautiful, wild... is like an angel, but very human too. He is all that describes Victor Hugo and even more. He is perfect.
And this picture is magic. The dancers without faces, the beautiful dress, the room... reminds me Anastasia, the picture film, the vals scene and... well is perfect. And Enjolras and Courf are lovely togethers. Their posture and their expressions are so tender and sweet... and then I read the fic and well. I started crying. Is a moment so sad and touching that I couldn't help it.
Keep drawing like this.

Really suiting. It's cool to have a visual to that. I like how they're in such a large room, but they only see each other. Your poor Courfeyrac really looks worried though, almost like it pains him to see his friend. Although, that probably it.
Anyways, Enjolras' hair looks really shiny here. I love the darker bits you've put in it. Please continue to fiddle with it though, because even though it looks so awesome and sad and tender and everything it's supposed to be, I would love to see what else you could do with it.

This is absolutely breathtaking and so magical!!!(1!1!1!)
The swirling faceless people kindof remind me of the finale scene from this movie called Russian Ark when all of these aristocrats walk through the palace, all going in the same direction.

Ah! I remember reading that! I think that this is a very accurate and heartfelt portrayal of that scene, well done once again.

It's so magical, Despard. I like the feel of this, like the ballroom scenes in "Anastasia" and "Beauty and the Beast." .

.. and then the world fell apart.
Wow, really i love how the background fades into the stairy universe and how you portraited the pair in the foreground. Is it part of a movie or are these characters from you? They look lovely together.

Thank you! The characters are from Victor Hugo, but the illustration is based on a fanfic.
