From the very start of this chapter ScarletFeather was waiting to attack OakPaw. She had this planned out, and had an idea of how it would go. While she says it was to teach him about self defense, she mostly wanted to hurt him so it would stop him from telling. Now OakPaw will relate telling others to getting hurt, and that’s what she was going for. The “self defense” thing was a half lie. This whole scene was to show how unpredictable, dangerous, and manipulative ScarletFeather is. I know some people didn't know what to think of her, but yeah I'll say it now she is not a very nice cat!
