This dragon is copied from the title page of the book 'The Flight of Dragons' by Peter Dickinson, which is a book that tries to prove how dragons could have exsisted. The book was illustrated by Wayne Anderson (see his initials in the tail).

There is an 80's movie of the same title, the main character is Peter Dickinson, the books author. "Sir Peter"'s character, merges with a young dragon by the name of Gorbash (As when he hatched, the battle before hand was a bit gory and the knight which found him got a bit bashed up).
