This is a modest and unusual commission by who asked for something seldom - if ever - seen in Star Wars.

A support vehicle that has no weapons, shields or a hyperdrive and here we have it - the Gig.

Its sole purpose is local transportation - be it from planet to planet, place to place, ship to ship or station to station in the most basic of ways.

I was inspired by the generous brief that the origins of this ship should be that of Incom - the famed makers of the X-Wing and the U-Wing.

I took those elements to make a 'box with engines', made it look used and have it toned with an orangey hull.
