This is adopted as my headcanon as well now. Serious junk happened in the second half of this two-parter episode. Definite head-canon right here, just bears repetition.

If you're talking about Marceline, she may be a trickster, but she does genuinely care about Finn. If she saw him in that bad of shape after something she knew full well was horribly traumatic, she'd know well enough to drop the joking and try to help him, or at least comfort him.
If you're talking about Finn... well you saw him at the end of Daddy's Little Monster. He was messed up badly by the experience. And why wouldn't he be? He was pretty much soul-fucked into a horrible monster for a few minutes. IN HELL.

Not particularly, no. :I He's like 14, and he got turned into a demon via magical amulet that did god knows what to him while it was on him, and that could fuck up any kid his age, no matter how tough. Soooo yeah.
