thanks, but since i don't have a means of income yet, that would prove difficult : talking my parents into paying for the trip would prove even more difficult. i'll have to get back to you

You can always start saving small sums of money. When you'll have half of the needed amount or most of it you can tell your parents about your plans and ask them to give you the rest I sometimes did that with mine and it worked, maybe you could try it too I would be more worried with them letting you come here alone. But you know them better so...

yeah, i can just about guarantee that they'll be worried, so they might end up coming with me . . . meh, i don' know. good plan, though! that would probably work for other things as well as this ^_^
