SOOOO, I've always wanted to do fanart for *VanillaKitsune , but never really felt I had the supah skills to do any of her characters justice, much less my ALL-TIME FAV Trixy. c:But I was at work today, and saw Vani's new (temporary?) ref for Trixy, and I was like "TODAY IS THE DAY MEG."
It's still not very good, because I was in between keeping it a simple little gift and finishing the whole thing. So while I was debating how finished it was going to be, this.. was the result, LOL.
Gem appears to have a girlcrush on Trixy. X] Or... her tail idk.
As odd as it looks, and as off as Trixy's design probably is (*CRYCHOKESOB*) I hope it's decent. :<

Anyway! Keating's not too bad of a dorm. :] Better than Idelson or.. those.. other ones. And a single room is SO nice. My room in the Cove is a single, and I really do love being able to shut my door when I need time alone. I really like Keating's location, it must be nice to live so close to the center of action. Cove is like, survivor island. |: But fun, LOL.
LOL your stuffed dog sounds adorbale. CX I totally brought my stuffed Simba and Build-a-Bear. :} Nothing that big, but I wouldn't worry about finding space! The rooms aren't as tiny as they sound.
But yessss you can come chill with us Covers. Guitar Hero is VERY popular on campus, LOL, you'll definitely find people to play against.

Students like to tell horror stories about dormlife, but it's mostly just all exaggerated. XD I thought the Cove would be OMGhorrible, but it turned out rather cozy, once I got moved in and settled. It's so easy to make your dorm homely.
LOL I'm like, totally dyslexic so games like GH and DDR are like, torture for me. XD Talk about someone who looks retarded while playing, hahahahaha.

Dude. I didn't live in Keating but I pretty much spent my freshmen year in there with my BFF Mikey G. The rooms are not that tiny. They're just a little cold (the AC is usually on a lot) so make sure you have warm beddings. And you probably already know this but you get a closet, a dresser, a desk, and a bed. So you probably don't want to bring any other furnitures with ya. And props to ya for getting Keating, it's a lot better than some of the other dorms XD

Well you get a drafting table, which is a drawing table but I put my computer there the entire time. I suppose you're supposed to switch it to use it for drawing as well, but I just used my big drawing board and the floor for drawing space. Sooo yea I dunno. It's just what's comfortable for you. But if I were you I wouldn't take any extra furniture. Mikey G brought a bookcase and it fit, though, so maybe you could fit something small like that

Hm..I guess we'll just have to see when we get down there, for all I know I'm pretty sure if I am getting a computer desk..we'd buy it down there instead of buying one here and trying to take it all the way down there. |D;; then find out that it cant fit? ..nopeee..

When I first moved in, one of the immediate things I did was make a Target run with my parents, LOL. I basically just needed shelves and stuff for storage, and Target has THE best prices for dorm furniture. I ended up getting a little cubby-hole shelf.. thing which came in SUPER!handy. I also ended up getting a little two-drawer thing to store art supplies later on in the year.
Basically, just bring what's absolutely necessary for you, and if you need any extra storage, you can always pick something up at Target or Wal-Mart for a good price. :] Just count on having a desk, a set of a couple drawers for clothes, and in Keating you get a big armoir thing as a "closet."

Target is like, my favorite place ever. XDD There's a Super Target down University Parkway, and I preeeeeeetty much buy everything I need there. There's a lot around the school, actually. Grocery stores, Walgreene's, the Sarasota Square mall is huge and nice, downtown has a ton of awesome restaurants, St. Armand's Circle... LOL I like it down there. 8D
Buying all the little things here is a good idea. :] The less to haul the better.

It is! :} I soooo love downtown, my friends and I would like, walk there and see a movie, or chill out and draw in one of the cafes. It's very artsy. X] I'm looking forward to being able to do that again.
I want to try to get more people together to sketch at one of the cafes, actually. A friend of mine organized a group thing, and a good few people showed up to chat, draw, and drink superamazing coffee last semester. I reaaaaally want to do that again! 8]~

Awww it's okay XD Don't be so anxious. Actually as we speak I'm writing to you from there right now, I'm visiting for a bit. I just bought some textbooks and a tablet pen down at the school store because I got emails about supplies already :3 I'm super excited to start schoooool man. I know Imma regret that as soon as it starts and I have homework but I can at least pretend that it's a good idea to be excited. And don't worry Vani, because frosh year is totally the easiest, hands down. Take this year to relax and get used to college. Hang out with people a lot, use the time to go to the beach, go to clubs (especially ours!) and draw lotsa things because as time goes on you're gonna get more reclusive and geeky (but don't think about that now, like me XD) This first year is the least of your worries, if that's any condolence
