This is genderbend. There's nothing "insulting" about being feminine either. Are you insinuating that having female characteristics is a bad thing? Because it certainly sounds like it.

Not really. In fact, I am completely supportive of feminism. It's just that in a yaoi pairing a person given feminine traits while his lover isn't given any just leaves the pairing as the typical uke/seme situation. Thus you've turned Joey into the uke by making him feminine while you didn't change a single thing about Seto. Thus making Joey the uke, something I greatly dislike since it goes against his character, and Seto the seme. And again I have nothing against feminism, just when it's used against my favorite characters.

This isn't yaoi though. Clearly this is genderbend, which has NOTHING to do with boy's love, so why you think seme/uke stereotypes has anything to do with this, I don't even know... Jonouchi here is a chick. And there's nothing feminine about her behavoir either.

Um if it's ok with you I just want to stop now before we get into anything serious here. I'm sorry if I made any negative responses towards femininity or genderbending here. It's just that I don't like it when Jounouchi, my favorite character in YGO, is always the one who gets genderbent or mpregged in any given puppyshipping work while nothing seriously significant happens to Seto. I mean, how often is it that you see works where Seto ends up genderbent or mpregged while Jounouchi remains the same?

Here's the thing. I hate mpreg. Mpreg is not the same as genderbend. Genderbend doesn't even change a character's personality that much, only the gender. There's nothing insulting or negative about being female.

And I have no problem with genderbend Seto either. However, canonically speaking, Kaiba is a far more aggressive, dominating male than Jonouchi ever was and that's why the fandom doesn't "feminize" him like they do Jou. We never see Kaiba willingly becoming/trying to become friends with people who have insulted him (unlike Jonouchi), dress in drag (unlike Jonouchi), act shy around girls (unlike Jonouchi), or allow himself to be bullied by anyone (unlike Jonouchi). He's an alpha male. Jonouchi is not. Therefore, he gets put into that stereotype.

I don't like how the fanbase cheapens Jonouchi either, he's one of my favorite characters since I was ten, however, it isn't like he's some macho male type either.
