Description omygosh so I've been actually sketching up a few species here and there but I was never really excited about any of them. So one day I kind of combined a few traits of those species I never used and created some new ones to come up with a new species, Flyants!

They are kinda like little firefly butterflies, with a little reptile and bird looking design, but the size of a butterfly.
They have two wings, one which is the smaller/inner wing, then there is the larger/outer wing. The small one is mostly for steering and the larger one mostly to keep aloft and do most of the flying. the inner wing is also very flexible so it can fly either in front of the larger wing or towards the back depending on its use in flight. Their wings are a soft warm almost fuzzy-like skin texture.

Flyants have 4 antennas. Rarely do they have more. They are used to communicate with other Flyants and creatures as they cannot speak verbally. But the communication is just like speech, only through minds. Some Flyants are found to have less than 4 antennas. These are usually uncommon or rare as communication is necessary for their survival. Having less than 4 usually makes it harder for them to hear or speak, but having none makes them not able to communicate or hear at all. This can result in being eaten by predators or rejection from the group. They always stick together in groups. They like to play together and in large groups sometimes hold races to see who is the fastest. They don't have a leader but look out for one another.

They can eat really anything, so their favorite food can be decided by their owners when adopted. They have hand like feet to grab onto things, and also claws on their wings for climbing. They have a hook at the end of their tail used to get their food (such as fishing if they like fish) or it's used to hang from trees for sleeping. When sleeping they cover themselves with their wings like bats. During the night they can voluntarily make their markings glow warmly and pulse like a firefly. When choosing mates the males like to show off their glow and dance in the air with a partner. Offspring usually can be around 2-5.

I think that's it ;o; I'll add more if I think I forgot something

Flyants are a closed species!
