I have a theory. When Elsa ended up lifting the snow the flowers came back as well much how like Anna thawed by the act of true love and so love did not only thaw the winter but repaired the damaged ships back to it's former glory.

well it's summer time so that's why there are flowers out, but im not really sure if it had much to do with the ships.
as far as i could tell, the ships weren't damaged-
they were just frozen over

Lol I loved the ending. Such an emotionally powerful scene. But yes, I could not help but think the exact same thing. Hell, they weren't even standing on a ship when she started thawing everything. They were just standing in the middle of the frozen fjord, and then that ship came out of nowhere.
Oh well. Rule of Drama. I still liked it.

Sorry to disappoint you but in the original ending Elsa gave olaf a snow cloud while on the boat. But without the boat elsa had to swim causing olaf to melt
