Description A little watercolor practice I did this weekend. These creatures appear in Issue 3 and are simply named "Computer Mice". Basically since Promiscuous has a huge plug for a head, she is blind and deaf...so she created the mice to act as her eyes and ears. They patrol her lair looking for scraps to eat, search for new victims to bring her, and watch over her like body guards. When they start to get hungry she feeds them blood from the bodies she traps, and when they get weak she strokes their exposed spines and gives them a jolt of electric orgasm to keep them active and alive. As a result of their connection, they do her deeds with extreme viciousness and will even travel to the surface world to find her victims and souls (dragging them into sewers and from their homes through holes chewed in their walls).

Their design is meant to mimic a computer mouse btw..the teeth are the clickers, the spine is the scroll wheel, and the tail in the plug obviously.

You are sure to see a lot of them in the new issue! haha

That is a really interesting concept, but I also like some of the words you have used such as "electric orgasm" instead of simply being "recharged" XD It just blends into the mixed up world of hell of yours quite nicely

The design to use a computer mouse is a cleaver idea; lovely soft blends of browns

lol yes well in this case they are getting more then just a recharge ;b but that's why these guys are a product of Promiscuous so it goes hand in hand heh. Also thanks! I cant wait to show more of these guys in action; they are a ton of fun to draw! and yeah...for once my watercolors didn't turn into mud heh(hence my decision to actually post it!) Thanks again!

You're welcome :3
Can I ask a question about yourself and your art? Would you call your artwork surreal? Or would you say that your comic and artwork is an abstract of realsitc and deep superstition of what you believe in? I'm just wondering so I can understand more of your work and also; yourself

Sure! I think my art is a combination of thoughts, theories, human study and social commentaries with a fun mix of imagination and personal voice thrown in there haha. I guess yeah Id say its surreal since the blending of all those things may become a blurring of lines between what one person thinks to a visual situation in comparison to another persons interpretation and maybe neither of them are right or wrong. Its more about what the person takes from whats being shown and how they approach the visuals and words...now granted I have my own theories and agendas that I am saying in there as well haha it's not all passive in nature, but if they never actually see that that's fine too. But I try to make sure that whats mixed in there is a questioning and thought process about what goes on...like a kind of mix of humor and entertainment with tongue in cheek moments and also an abstract bit of truth or horror to the things that it reveals (for better or for worse).

Oh wow, thank you so much for your wonderfully expressed reply XD

I would defiantly say you add your own magic touch to your artwork

Also I like how the audience will always keep looking back to see what they have missed in the painting, or have a second thought of what they see; most importantly that you capture their own imagination and curiosity as they look at it XD

I do believe what you say, especially looking at your work myself but as I look at the whole picture, with so many different objects, subjects and themes bumbled up, I can't help but look back at the other famous artist that maybe you were inspired by so.

Maybe Bosch? I am interested to see as well as your own creative and imaginative work, but what artists inspire you? Or maybe a particular art movement? Or even maybe an experience that only yourself can explain?

It just be a very interesting concept to understand more of the artist, that will open more understanding in your work; so to speak Β

No problem!! Oh yeah Bosch was a huge influence to me in college when we were exploring art history and Flemish artists in general. Now there's a guy who let his imagination run wild and yet in such a strict time period where things like that would have been considered blasphemy or evil to depict they allowed it because it reminded people that there are some things out there that you need to be shown (haha like he was an artist granted allowance of drawing creatures and demons because he was showing them the real nature of things the common people could not bear to imagine, so that they are aware of its existence). Pretty interesting concept really and I liked how even in his works some of the characters were actually people from that time...depicted from their news headlines of rapists or murders who had been conflicted and sent to death...now forever seen in this painting getting their just desserts haha but most people now have no idea that there was actually some social commentary in there :b social commentaries of that time at least! My work is probably not nearly as didactic as that since I try to blur lines between what we might consider social norms or taboos, but I do like to throw in a good social riff here and there and show people things they would not have thought about hahaha. Opps I think i started to rant...i'll leave it at that haha :b

Oh, wow I am honored to have such a detailed reply; just happy that you can express your opinions through me XD (hoping I don't freak you out or anything )

Thank you so much, I'm actually working on my last year at college before going onto University, the subject being "connections" The wonderful thing about the UK, is that we have such a huge amount of history; one being very close to where I live. My subject, is the Pendle Witches; very popular and very detailed history in Lancashire And combining Duhur with the first publications of what "witches" are, I am also connecting to the mad mind of Bosch and how he described that many in the time, feared what "hell" looked like. It is such an interesting piece and this is wonderful to get a good connection, with the same description of hell, but presented in such a humor way Times have past XD

Thank you so much for your time

This looks... conceivable.

I've heard some theories that millions of years from now bats might return to the ground and become pack hunters; perhaps resembling something utterly terrifying like this~a.

Otherwise, a clever design unto itself.

haha who knows right?? they already descovered jelly fish in polluted dead zones that eat and digest plastic (which makes them highly toxic and uneatable to fish), so a silicon/carbon hybrid animal make be on the way! And really?? but technically isnt a "land bat" just a MOUSE? haha....but i like the idea of pack mice...meat-eating pack mice! yessss

And thanks man!

I know right?! It's scary how quickly jellyfish can adapt within just a few generations. There's even certain species of jellies that, upon death, break apart and the pieces grow back into new jellies. Basically, it's an immortal jellyfish.

Comickpro In reply to 47ness [2013-11-24 20:38:01 +0000 UTC]

Really?! Dang that's amazing Β

And considering we are over-fishing the oceans and killing off the jellyfish's only predators, new studies say that in about 200yrs, 80% of all the sea life in the ocean will be only jellyfish so...yup these guys are prepping now so that once everything else is gone, plastic fills the oceans and we cant eat them for being toxic and cant kill them because they grow in numbers... Jellyfish will rule the world!!!

47ness In reply to Comickpro [2013-11-25 21:51:35 +0000 UTC]

They might, or they might simply eat all the food in the oceanΒ and die off in mass numbers.

Hopefully we'll find something incredibly useful to do with their carcasses. Whoever figures it out first could become rich beyond their dreams. :0
