It's basically done by the same technique, but it's not like you're just drawing on photos, you have to composite them, too. And the final artwork really differs from the source photos. But I know what you mean. Gotta post more artworks, where it's done differently

Somehow that pose doesn't shout pirate to me. Barbarian, or viking maybe, but not pirate.

lol nice try but if you have a artist eye you can see it,you drew over the pic so this doesn't count as using reference.but nice job it looks cool.
