As you can see, I joined the Glitchtale Beach Contest on the Glitchtale Amino. You can join the contest here ! The first and second place winners get a drawing tablet! >w<So while Asriel's fur broke my hand and Chara was draw on the wrong layer, I really had troubles getting Chara's face right. I redrew it like 3 times I think? For some reason everything else on this picture was quite EASY to draw, even the water... Wow, I do really suck at drawing faces.

I have to say that the composition and color pallet of this piece are quite good. My main criticism is that some of the base anatomy is off. Not majorly but enough to be noticeable. The following is where I think things are a bit off.
Other than this the technique in your lighting and shading is quite good. The only (subjective) problem is the intensity of the white. I think it would look better if it were reduced in size by about 10% just so that we can make out the facial features of the characters better. The hair on the front most character also appears unnatural. It should fall around the skull and give some indication of their head shape and shouldn’t just go in two directions with no interaction.
There’s also some light hitting the characters from the opposite side of the sun and if that is reflected up from the water it shouldn’t compete with the intensity of the light from the sun. Especially if you have it obscuring the features of characters. You may also want to sharpen the edges of the clouds as they appear a bit unnatural towards the center of the image. Also regarding the ear of the anthro character on left is on his forehead, there's no place on the skull for the ear muscles to attach their and there's no way for the eustachian tube to drain into the throat as the braincase of the skull is in the way. It needs to be behind the junction of the jaw and cheekbone for it to be able to function. There also seems to be a light source equivalent to the sun directly below it which suggests a second sun or other light source. It's too bringt to just be reflection IMO. You may want to try adding a rainbow effect to the water spray instead.
All of this is minor though and the piece looks perfectly presentable as is. Excellent work.

Hi, I'm commenting for ProjectComment . I can offer some balanced feedback.
The overall scene brings me back to a bright and sunny day on a beech. The sun is blindingly bright. It looks hot and everyone is at the shore cooling off and having fun. So if I got that right, you definitely portrayed it well.
I like the colors on the character facing us. Her hair has a lot of detail and color. I think her hand looks a bit off. The middle finger should always be long than all the other fingers, but here the pointer finger looks a bit longer.
I guess this is an anime style scene because some of the characters don't seem human. And something about it just like anime. I don't know what to call that thing the girl on the top right is riding, but that looks pretty cool. There is something about the color of the girl that really works well. I can really feel the sun beating down on her skin. However I think there is some anatomy or perspective issues with her legs. They seem to bend at a weird spot, and maybe not long enough.
The other characters are facing away, which is probably very natural, but a bit disappointing for me because I don't know any of these characters and I can't see their faces at all.
I think you did a good job on the folds of the clothing, both for the green pants on and the shirt on the left side.
I like the colors of the ocean, it looks dreamy, and the white kind of foam lines and spots of reflecting light is all fun to look at and feels quit realistic. Although I feel like it is lacking a bit of perspective in that area. I feel like the foam and ripples should all taper off much faster and get smaller into the distance.

Yeah, you're right with the perspective of the water (I was just too lazy to fix it :'D)

It's very possible though I am not sure. I have also worked on many other projects and some of them have actually been in Pokemon Art Academy (and you can not use any layers and so on) and I have also worked on an animation... I really have no clue owo"
