I only tone by hand when certain effects are not possible, or when it takes too much time, to do in Digital means.

Digital toning does save money but it lacks the feel of randomness traditional methods give ( Knife, not the Cutter, etching is one XD )

yeah hand work always has more feel to it...altough...i often cutted trough the paper as well wich was sometimes annoying
