This is a commission picture done by my friend , I just came up the idea behind this piece.

Anyway, this was going to be my first aptemt on writing a simple story series, but I kinda lost interest over time.
I still have the basic idea, info on everyone and setting on paper. Maybe if I have that spark again... Or someone to help me on keeping my mind on the series.

Back this pic, these guys are the main characters in my story: Dennis, Lily, and Ronald. But before I explain on who these guys are, let me tell a story about their world.

Long ago, I say around between 2004 to 6ish, someone discovered a artifact that awaken the dragons. Half of the dragons were in a deep slumber around the world, while the other half are inside most humans. Cliché it may sound, but the difference is that the dragons nearly won, almost wiping the human race. The dragons are lead by an all powerful, ancinent dragon named... I forgot, but that doesn't matter. At the height of his power, a dragon who is a good one, challaged the ancient and the two battle it out for.... I say around 39 hours... Long story: Both Ancient and Good Dragon died, dragons split up and went their own ways, and the humans are tiring to survive between the dragons and themselves. The last record year at the end of all of this is 2013.
Oh! I almost forgot to mention: The dragons used some powerful spell to terra-morph the planet that would best suit the dragons, but some old landmarks still stand.

Now we got that out of the way, we can now focus on these three saps- I mean... "Survivors".
These three are long time friends that have stuck with each other since middle school. Dennis is the leader and a bit of a slacker. Lily is the morale booster and somewhat a medic... Lastly, but not least, Ronald: A bit of a coward, but a loyal friend through and through.
The story begins with them being in what was once Los Angeles, getting away from a small group of bandits and either one or two dragon(s). All was quite in their home base until Ronald received a call from his cellphone, which he or anyone have not heard in a long time. The call have came from his wife from New York and asked if Ronald is alright. Short chat later. Ronald is now determind to cross the lands that was once the United States and reunitl with the love of his life. Dennis object with idea at first, but Lily aand Ronald changed Dennis's mind on pulling out an old favor he own to them. Before they head out, Dennis said, they first need to gather some better supplies. After stopping by an old police station, Lily and Dennis found some armor vests, while Ronald found a old Russian WWII sniper rifle and a whole SWAT set, complete with a gasmask. Along the way, they stopped by a abandon house to find some food or meds. While Ronald went to find some food, Dennis and Lily went looking else where until found something weird. Whatever it was, when Ronald came back, both of his friends were passed out on the floor and there was gas everywhere. Some hours passed, the three miles away from that house and they thought the worst was behind them.... Oh how so wrong they are... For the moment, Dennis and Lily didn't feel right and then... Well... You can guess on what happen next. Good news is that they still have their minds and wits together... But for how long until the power gets to them?

Now these three have cross the states, while avoiding: Bandits, Crazies, Dragons, Ghost cities, and other dangers, while trying to stay sane.
