I was inspired by the Manga series Akira for this piece. Katsuhiro Otomo is one of my favourite artists. [link]
First started out as a very quick sketch but then i liked it and decided to put some effort into it.

Photoshop CS5 - Touched the image up.

Pen 0.1mm
Mechanical Pencil 0.7mm
Rubber

1.49 MB, 1476 x 650 pixels, 71 dpi, PNG file.

About 3 - 4 hours.

Can really feel the perspective in this one.
This might not be too much of a good thing as a presentable piece (unless you wanna get famous on tumblr) due to just how much of it appears to be simply lines.
In your next exercise, try to break up the buildings a bit more- you might achieve a more satisfying cityscape that way.

Indeed. This is not a full piece but an experimental piece after I read Katsuhiro Otomo's Akira, which is one of my favourite comics of all time.
Indeed, as with this piece there are barely no side-streets, which i did not think of at the time.

very well done! i did a two point perspective piece earlier this year and ran out of ideas very fast, so it's incredible to me how much work you were able to squeeze in! and it all comes together well
