Description
It was getting close to 3 am, later than her usual bed time, but there had been a horror movie marathon and she just had to watch it. Shinji didn't mind, since he almost always slept til 4am, except when Rina forced him to go to sleep with her because I'm feeling too hot and your body's always cold , or such was her excuse. Truth was she didn't want to sleep alone anymore now that she lived with him. She had had enough lonely nights without him.

As she was doing her nightly ritual of washing her face and brushing her teeth and hair, there was a crashing sound right outside the bathroom window. She would normally just be a bit startled and checked it out herself, but after binge-watching a bunch of scary stuff, she shrieked and ran towards Shinji, who was already on his way towards her.

"What was that? Was it right outside or closer to the room?" He asked while patting a trembling Rina.

"Right outside, it was loud and there was shuffling noises and it's probably one of those creatures that insert their tendrils into your eyes and-"

"Alright alright, stop with the muttering. I'll go check it out real quick, and don't come out this time. Last time an acorn fell on your head and you almost peed your pants." He struggled to keep a serious face as he remembered. Rina would have protested and retorted with something else but she just nodded rapidly and just waited in the bathroom.

About 5 minutes had passed since Shinji had gone outside to investigate what had caused the commotion, and Rina was getting a bit worried. She stepped up on to the toilet seat and peeked out from the small bathroom window. The only thing she could see was him kneeling over a random bush next to the trash cans, the gate, and a darker silhouette walking on top of said gate... making its way slowly towards him... ready to pounce any moment. Rina freaked out so much she almost slipped, but she gripped the sill tightly with one hand and banged on the window with the other, yelling at him WATCH OUT, THE MONSTER IS GOING TO RUIN YOUR PERFECT EYES, RUN RUN SHINJI RUUUUN!!! which made him jump, which in turn freaked the creature out, which caused it to attack him.

Rina was so scared that she just huddled on the toilet seat, covered her head and started to scream. Then she noticed there were no more sounds coming from outside, and then she heard the front door close, and slow footsteps coming her way. "Oh no," she started to whisper frantically. "No no no, he's already possessed by it and I'm gonna be next. No no no no!"

"What the hell are you saying?" A scratched Shinji walked in, gently pushing her off the seat and sitting himself down slowly, grunting. "Fuckin' hell, why'd you have to scare the damn cat like that? Don't tell me you actually thought it was a- are you kidding me?" He said after she nodded slowly, keeping her gaze low. He wiped away some stray leaves from his shirt, then decided to take it off in order to look at a deep wound that was stinging on his arm. She saw it and got closer to him, not saying anything but inspecting it closely. She had a thing for scars, and his body was covered in them from battles and other things he's only told her about once.

Rina grabbed the alcohol and bandages from the sink cabinet, then held his arm gently. She was used to doing this, since he almost always got into fights. "Sorry about that. I just really thought it was.... not a cat, haha." She glanced up over her glasses at him, and he was giving her a stern look. Her eyes widened for a second and hurried up to clean his cut.

He snatched her glasses and put them on himself, even if the prescription was way too much for him. "Make sure to patch me up real good, alright? Don't want the bandages to fall off in my sleep." He pushed the glasses up his nose with two fingers.

"Hey-!" She looked up at him, about to say something, but she stopped as soon as she saw him with glasses on. Rina blushed hard, and fumbled and struggled to get the gauze in place. She had always had a thing with boys in glasses, but seeing Shinji in them was something else entirely. He arched his eyebrow at the sight, and chuckled. She was already done with the cut on his arm, and next was the one on his cheek. She tried to clean it up without looking, keeping her gaze cast down, but ended up dabbing alcohol all over his face.

"Rina, come on. Do it properly." He grabbed her chin and made her look up at him. The serious expression on his face combined with the glasses was too much for her that she had to finish the job fast, and ended up doing it a bit sloppy. "Geez, what's up with you?"

She glanced at him while she was putting everything away. "You! And glasses!" She stood up and tried to take them back because everything was blurry. She couldn't really tell he had them on from that distance. That's when he got close to her. And she was able to see him clearly.

Shinji smirked. "Hup!" He picked her up and grabbed her firmly, making her sit on the edge of the sink but not letting go. She could smell the alcohol she had smeared all over him, but also his own smell. She thought she was going to faint. "Hey. Thanks for cleaning me up." A small kiss on her forehead. "But don't think you're gonna get away that easily. Shit hurt like hell, y'know?" A kiss on her cheek. He was pushing his own body closer to hers, and she thought she was going to fall back, so she held him by the neck. "Lets go to bed, yeah?"

Rina couldn't do anything else but nod and hang on to him while she was carried to the room.

Anyways, you don't know how many sketches I have of them. I was going to work on a commission piece, but I wanted to wait til I got back home so I can stream it and stuff, and so I started this one and decided to actually colour it. As always, the background is bad, but at least I'm trying?! Not nearly, but it's something.
