I'm glad to see you're having fun with openCanvas! Mouse drawing is hard. Have you played with the layers yet? You can do some really funky stuff with subtract and multiply layers, not that I think you wanted funky for this picture, but just saying - I have fun.

For a painting program, no its really not. I didnt know they were charging for it now, the copy I downloaded back in the day was free. Of course its pretty basic and doesn't have all the brushes and whatnot, but its still got layers which are very important for preserving lines in a program like this (I hate having to redraw lines I've already drawn so I usually put them on their own layer to keep them safe) If you wanted the free version, I can see if I can track it down for you.

There are a bunch of free programs on this thread. Open canvas is there at the bottom of the painting list. You're welcome to try any of them, I'm not familliar with the two in the middle, but I know a friend who used Gimp although I've never seen it open, myself, so I don't know how it works. opencanvas 1.1 is absolutely positively free though, and if you click the link, it'll download straight to you.

hmm...
Maybe I should keep it to myself, but this is not too good.
You could improve by making the edges sharper, the image is very blurred. Also adding some specular highlights would never hurt.
Nevertheless, you still tried and this is your first, so it is never bad. You just keep drawing!
