Yeah, only while I was doing research for this piece did I find out about that movie. I had seen commercials and preview's for it before, but since all movie previews are nowadays is a bunch of incoherent imagery trying to make itself look epic and suspenseful with really loud metal thunk noises, lacking any meaning or purpose whatsoever.

Seriously though, I havent seen it, but seeing as Nikola Tesla had magic powers, its only reasonable that they'd have an actor with magic powers like David Bowie play him.

You better see that movie. It's a mind fuck, totally. It's really good, too. I mean...I know I'm a shameless fangirl when it comes to Hugh Jackman and Christian Bale, but it really is good plot-wise.
And David Bowie was pretty good as Tesla, too. I mean, I know Labyrinth may not be the best example of acting skills (though...I still love the movie), but he is really good. It takes a minute or so to actually recognize him.
And Tesla totally does have magic powers. Even in the movie. They call him a wizard.
And he'll be there for you-oo-oo.
As the world falls down.

I totally dug the magic crystal ball thing though. I mean, even though he wasn't actually doin it, it was a neat party trick, and had they not done that particular bit in Labyrinth, I'm sure Tesla woulda been juggling balls of electricity in this movie. Unless... is he?
