Description In 1936 the Mechanized Integration Liaison Force purchased a pair of Maradi 4 ton trucks for testing and analysis purposes as candidates for a lighter and more economical supplement to the arguably overly rugged FUGT, which had been introduced two years earlier. Upon delivery team mechanics promptly set to work converting the design into a half track; a Jason chassis was affixed to the back half in place of the twin rear axles, and as the Maradi 4-T the vehicle commenced testing soon thereafter. With its long bed, crew cab and strong off-road capacities, the Maradi 4-T was reviewed favorably, and the liaison force recommended the design for further development.

Political concerns exist however regarding the design, as full scall purchase of a foreign vehicle for general military use conflicts with the federal foreign policy encouraging self-sufficiency. While one of the two Maradi 4-Ts purchased was fully converted to theoretical GRCKA specifications with standardized panelling and small modifications such as winch and low-visibility lights, the initial prototype was uniquely repainted in Maradi markings and shipped back to the Republic of Marad for demonstration purposes, where it is formally assigned as a support vehicle for diplomatic staff. Dialogue is underway to secure either licensing rights to produce 4-Ts in the Confederated Kingdom, or inversely to sell 4-T conversion kits to the Republic of Marad.
