For because his username is PyroWaffel on other sites (like youtube).Playing around with prolonged exposures and bonfires. :]
This image is 4 photographs put side by side, but it wasn't edited or enhanced at all beyond putting the photographs together in one image.
Nikon D60, bulb setting.

You mean why I didn't do all four letters in one exposure? Because I wanted that one person to be the one writing each letter (not four people) and because the stick that was on fire that we were using to write the letters would fade really quickly, so you could only move it around a little before it would go out and have to be relit. Also, because we needed to stay near the campfire to keep lighting it, there was a huge light source that we didn't want leaking into the pictures, so I couldn't keep the shutter open very long without too much light leaking in. Awesome question

The person could have drawn all four letters, with a higher f-stop, eventually blocking with the lenscap while relighting it for however much time it needed. Anyways, i just dont like digitally altered lightpainting.
