Description
Haha, I don't know, is a Mother Nature type an original character?I might add that I had to use THE cheapest markers I could find for this...I was running out, and I needed to finish the piece badly. :/ They have a weird laydown, but I tried.
Marker and ballpoint on paper. 2010.

This is completely stunning. Markers are such a hard medium to do well, and it's a tribute to you that you did such delicate shading on her face. I love the silver overlays!

Oh, thank you! I really appreciate the encouragement...one of my greatest fears as a marker artist is to have really bold colors and shading ruin a piece. I'm glad you like the results here!

Likewise, it's always fantastic to see an artist not afraid to use color and patterns to great effect. Life is too short to be timid!

Actually, I saw a gorgeous sunset tonight and my first thought was of this picture!

Nice use of colour here, soft yet strong enough to get attention. The pose looks a bit too forced, especially on the arms. The little shiny spots on the hair don't look bad, but I think there are a few too many. Nice job, overall.
